After taking ballet/Jazz classes for years. I decided to try yoga, and was very surprised to learn that it wasn't boring at all. Then years later, after becoming a mother and being diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, I decided to give it a try again, not knowing for sure if I'd be able to do the poses. Thanks to Mary (Yoga Plus), I regained the strength I need to go about with my day of domestic "diva". Emotionally speaking the impact of yoga in my life has been huge. It gave me the confidence of knowing that I can go as far as I want, provided I respect my body and listen to it. I'm now back into the work force, and always look forward to coming to Yoga Plus for a very pleasant yoga session.

I began Yoga approximately the end of Jan 2008, I only had a couple of classes behind me and I was hooked.
I hadn’t much exercise built into my daily routine and really needed something for myself, well Yoga fit like a glove, so much so that I started to come twice a week!
As I have carpel tunnel in both wrists Mary has helped me out a lot to build up strength and I now don’t have anything close to the pain I used to deal with.
Emotionally and Mentally Yoga and Mary have really given me strength for my mind, body and soul to get through a lot of tough times I’ve been dealing with in my life.

I have been practicing yoga for the past two years, in that time I have tried a number of yoga instructors.
When I found Mary, I found someone who is both caring and deeply interested in each individual client, ensuring always ,that the excercise is suited to that persons needs and abilities.
I suffer from Parkinsons and have found yoga to be a key element in maintaining body flexibility.
I would whole heartedly recommend this gentle but effective form of exercise to all ages

As a young person, I loved practising yoga but gradually it slipped out of my life. I'm retired now and for years, miles of walking has been my only exercise. A diagnosis of osteoporosis several years ago, plus "frozen shoulder" about a year ago (the result of a fall), told me I needed to do more than "just walking". When I heard that someone, right on my street, taught yoga, I knew there was no excuse-time for yoga again. That is how I met Mary. After a month of 1 night a week classes, I knew I wanted to do 2 nights. Slowly but surely my body has stretched and strengthened. At the 6 month point I began to really see and feel the changes. One huge benefit is the change in my breathing-it used to be quite shallow. I focus now on keeping it deeper and steady, not just in class but at any time of the day, especially when stressed. I am also aware of my posture and body alignment which were not good. Yoga helps me to carry my body in a healthy and confident way. My thanks to Mary for two nights a week of happy, helpful yoga lessons and all the benefits they bring.
