Description of Yoga classes

Sport Yoga All Levels

Taught in the hatha Yoga style with an element of Pilates where we work on Strength, tone and mind.  this is an hour class where we start off with a few standing breathing techniques then followed with a great warm up then follow with poses and then finally the relaxation period where we will do the Yoga Nidra which is a tecnique of tightening and holding of poses, follwed by lying down breathing techniques or a meditation involving an imaginary sun that will help to warm your body and relax you, then followed by a total relaxtion period where we bring wonderful thoughts into your mind.  

Sport Yoga Flow

Taught in the Hatha Yoga style with an element of Pilates is an hour long class where we only hold the poses from three seconds to 5 seconds. This class is for people that already know yoga and would want more of a faster class that will help with the cardiovascular system.  We start off with standing breathing techniques, followed by a good warmup and then we follow with yoga asanas then the complete relaxation period

Stress management Relaxation class Private Sessions Available by appointment Monday or Friday

Another great class to do.   I will only take in one or two people at the most because this class   is for the person or persons that are under a great deal of stress.   This class is not to build up your bodies but to help alleviate stress and depression.   This session is an hour in length and we start out with a meditation at the beginning one that is appropriate to help with depression and stress then we follow with some sitting down breathing techniques we then follow up with some poses to help with stress.   After that we follow up with a couple of lying down poses with bolsters and blankets which all of those type of poses are about 5 minutes in length then we do the same type of relaxation at the end as our beginners yoga and flow yoga.   Guaranteed you will feel much better at the end.

Prenatal Yoga

If you are pregnant then this class is for you. This class is taught in the Hatha Yoga Style.  Keep in mind that you are not here to build up your bodies but you are here to make sure that you can have a very easy birth.   We start out with a meditation at the beginning one again that is appropriate for this class.   After that it is a must to loosen and warm up the joints.   We then follow up with appropriate poses for pregnancy.   Then a breathing technique.   Then after that we follow up with relaxation which consists of a techniques called Yoga Nidra which is visualizing and tightening different parts of the body.   Then we follow up with warming up our bodies by imagining and visualizing a bright beautiful sun which will help to relax our bodies even further.   Then a nice quite period which will will bring wonderful thought into our minds.

 

Private sessions Available by appointment  Monday or Friday

These sessions are one hour in length and we provide these sessions in the comfort of your home. Or in our facility These sessions are great for people that just want a one and one session with the instructor. This session will help the client to become more flexible, it will help with strengthening and toning of the muscles.  It will also help with stress and one thing that is great about these sessions is that you can ask a question at anytime during the session and the instructor can give you her undivided attention.  Areas covered Aurora, Newmarket, Bradford, Innisfil and Barrie
